INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

Individual psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy or counseling, can be an important tool in addressing a range of mental health concerns. It provides individuals with a safe and confidential space to talk about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional. Through individual psychotherapy, individuals can gain insight into their emotions, behaviors, and patterns of thinking, and learn new ways to cope with and manage their symptoms.

Individual psychotherapy can also help individuals develop healthy relationships, improve communication skills and achieve personal goals. It can also help people to understand and process past traumatic experiences that may be impacting their current functioning. Psychotherapy can be an effective treatment for many mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and eating disorders, either alone or in combination with medication.  Overall, individual psychotherapy can be an important step in achieving emotional well-being and leading a fulfilling life.

 

I will meet with you or your child in a one-on-one setting, either virtually or in person. Sessions last for 50 minutes each, and can be tailored to fit each client's needs. One client may determine a few sessions are best in order to address immediate concerns, while another may wish to participate over a longer period of time. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is the foundation of my practice. Together we will learn new coping skills, strengthen existing ones, and learn to manage thoughts and emotions in a safe and nurturing environment.
